INTRODUCTION
In today's market place, where lasers are used to add up a buyer's purchases,
a cash check-out line moves very fast until a buyer fumbles through his loose
change. Though many coin dispensers are available, they are seldom
used to make everyday purchases, because they tend to be too bulky to carry,
they can be hard to get the coins out of quickly, and they don't tell the
user how many coins they are holding. With the "Pocket Portable Coin
Dispenser", all of the coins can be seen for counting, and each coin is ejected
in one straight motion with such dependability that its user can dispense
change as quickly as a cashier can pull change out of a cash drawer.
This is accomplished without its user having to carry a bulky dispenser.
BENEFITS & FEATURES
-
Easy coin ejection Other dispensers have a single crescent
ledge over each coin cell to keep the coin follower discs from rocking out
of the dispenser. That inhibits the user's thumb from pushing out the
coins. But, in this new invention, each disc has an attached rod (stub)
that slides in a sleeve to keep it from tilting. If the discs can't
tilt, they can't rock out of the dispenser. So, with this invention,
the coin retaining ledges are opened at the back edges of the coins, so the
coins can more easily be pushed out of the dispenser. Also, if the
coins could tilt, as with other dispensers, their leading edges could easily
tilt below their exit slot, stopping their ejection.
-
Easy coin loading The discs and coins can't tilt in the
way of coins being inserted.
-
Easy coin counting Each pair of coin chambers are connected
with a trough that is deep enough to see all of the coins that are carried
in both connected chambers. These troughs do not weaken the dispenser,
because they are near the center of the dispenser. These troughs also
aid the access of the users thumb, or other finger, when ejecting coins.
-
Easy to carry shape When the dispenser is carried in your
pocket with its bottom outward, pocket bulges are barely noticeable, due
to the unique beveled bottom and thin shape. This dispenser can easily
be carried in a small purse.
-
Easy to spin between fingers The bottom of the dispenser
has a recess at the center (not shown in drawing above). When your
middle finger is placed there, and your thumb is placed over the center top
bump (seen in the photos), the dispenser can be spun around with another
finger to access the other side of the dispenser.
-
Economical manufacturing The snap-together parts hasten
assembly without the need for adhesives, fasteners or expensive fixtures.
