The Chawly Changer provides these
features:
-
Easy coin ejection The rods and sleeves keep the coin follower
discs from tilting, which allows the coin retaining ledges to be opened at
the back edges of the coins. If the discs can't tilt, they can't rock
out of the dispenser, or allow the coins to tilt below their exit slot.
Other dispensers make coin ejection difficult by having a single crescent
ledge over each coin cell to keep the discs from rocking out of the dispenser.
-
Easy coin loading The discs can't tilt in the way of coins
being inserted.
-
Easy coin counting Every carried coin is visible for counting.
-
Easy to carry shape When the dispenser is carried in your
pocket with its bottom outward, pocket bulges are barely noticeable, due
to the unique beveled bottom and thin shape. This dispenser can easily
be carried in a small purse.
-
Easy to spin between fingers The bottom of the dispenser
has a recess at the center (not shown in drawing above). When your
middle finger is placed there, and your thumb is placed over the center top
bump (seen in the photos), the dispenser can be spun around with another
finger to access the other side of the dispenser.
Coin Capacity
Normally loaded: $1.34 (3 quarters, 4 dimes, 3 nickels, and 4
pennies)
Maximum load: $1.70 (with dimes in penny cell)
Note: Dimes, pennies, and nickels can each be carried
in the next larger cell, for when you have more of one coin, but less of
another. This means that the dispenser can hold
8 dimes, or 8 pennies, or 6 nickels while still carrying various
other coins. A second Chawly
Changer will double your coin capacity.
The logic of this coin capacity
-
This dispenser will always be able to give the change for a purchase, or
accept the change from a purchase, unless you are given excess coins of one
kind to make up for the lack of the right coin, or you are given a half-dollar
coin. That doesn't happen very often.
-
Most people don't want to carry a lot of change.
-
More coins means more weight.
-
More capacity means a bulkier dispenser.
-
More coins are harder to count.
-
Even when you have more coins, the dispenser will still be valuable to
get you through the check-out line quickly,
and to get rid of those excess coins.
Dispensers ordered without keychains have no keychain mounting
holes.
